One Room Challenge: Week 7

Its getting down to the final week. This week was the week we painted the built ins and this was by far the most tedious part. The reason I say that is because we decided to spray them, yes, the spraying goes quick but all the prep work takes tons of time.

So we spent most of Saturday taping and putting plastic on everything. I went back and fourth for weeks on the paint color. I really wanted something dark and moody. Then that Saturday morning before we started I came across Studio Mcgee Tik Tok and she listed the color as one of her favorites and I knew I loved it. So with this we went with soot by Benjamin Moore, its a blue black and right up my alley.

Make sure if you are going to spray paint anything you do have the proper ventilation. You do not want to inhale the paint, have windows open and the appropriate mask.

We spent the rest of the day painting.

This same week we painted the other walls and trim in the room, all same paint color and sheen Chantilly Lace by Benjamin Moore.

We wrapped up this week finishing most of everything. We still had to get a office chair and put on the hardware and style everything . That was on for the final week. Follow along on Instagram for more videos and real time.
